Delete your Seazly account

This page is for people who use the Seazly app (published on the App Store and Google Play by Seazly) and want their account, or some of their data, deleted.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Seazly and go to Profile (the last tab).
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account and all data.
3. Confirm. Deletion starts immediately; you are signed out and the account cannot be recovered.

Delete your account without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@seazly.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject line "Delete my account". We verify that the request comes from the account's email address and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will get a confirmation email when it is done.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted we erase your personal data from our database: your email address and phone number, every trip and its plan, dossiers, chat records, packing lists, expenses and group balances, saved places, fare watches, forwarded-email metadata, memories and survey answers. We also purge the files you uploaded (trip attachments and memory images) from storage, and we send a deletion request to our analytics processor for events tied to your account identifier.

What is kept, and for how long

Purchase records are anonymised rather than deleted: the rows that remain carry only the amount, date, tier and the store's transaction reference, with no link back to you. We keep them because tax and accounting law requires a record of sales. Nothing else is retained. Backups that may still contain your data are overwritten within 30 days.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can remove individual items yourself at any time: a trip (from the trip's share screen), an attachment (from Papers), an expense (from Expenses), a saved place, or a fare watch. Each deletion removes both the record and any stored file. To remove something you cannot reach in the app, email privacy@seazly.com and tell us what to delete.
